Chronicles of a HeadCase

The Spirits of Past, Present and the Fool

by HeadCase on Jun.13, 2005, under Philosophical

DanakilnightdriveStrange how we act the fool when we try and make peace between the present and the past. The past knows a lot about you, more than the present will ever know, and the spirits of past may come to haunt you when you least expect. The present so unstable, so unpredictable because the future holds its prospect. While the past, knows where you’ve been and who you once were, or still are? and all the little things that make you who you are today. I guess that is why some people fall back on the past a lot, a comfort zone of familarity. I could never do that… I don’t think I ever should or would, but the future is what beckons me, the excitement of driving down an unknown road with no lights in the dark is almost ecstatic. But I must thread carefully, because I don’t want to crash and burn, eventhough that would be a change. I have never driven down this path before, and it may be the last chance I ever get to be behind the wheel, for real… and take me to the future that I cannot behold but am ever hopeful. I am reckless but I am here and now, so who is the bigger fool?
