Beauty within the Priestess

She, the student of reason and the victim of life. An aura of kindness surrounds her warm smile, Yet that darkness of mystery surrounds her eyes; Look close, and you will be lost in her spiraling abyss. Her stare and constant analysis makes me thread lightly, from fear and hope that she may figure me out aesthetically. When the storm is out, the doorway to her heart may be ajar, along with all the demons of past who left their marks on these edges. I await the day that she will allow me to see her true self, Stripped of the layers that keep all the ghosts and wolves at bay. I hope that day will come, when she can open up her arms again. Then perhaps she will let the worthy be acquainted with the true inner sanctum of her heart, that is yet hidden behind all the chains and shackles of pain. But every now and then, if you were to listen and watch, get close enough to see, That true beauty of her true self, dips out every once and while, for sunshine and fresh air, when she flashes another flare of that bright pretty smile.
